Be still. Be quiet. While you are verbally quiet, you may find that quiet space inside of yourself. You may have a burst of sudden joy filling up around your heart area. Bliss. It may feel as though you can feel your heart singing. This experience can only occur when you can look out of yourself, without mental comment…Wisdom Master Maticintin

End each day with power and acknowledgement of today’s accomplishments.
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson-

There are many different philosophies, schools and practices for healing. There always have been, and should continue to be. No one perspective has a monopoly on care, insight, considered answers or evidence of success.
Yet, an argument ensues suggesting that the overriding allopathic tradition (the practice of our GPs and doctors in hospitals) is “more right” and “distinctly better”, and that all other perspectives are foolhardy, even dangerous. Not only does the evidence not stack up, but attempts to dismiss different, yet credible, points of view is genuinely dangerous.
Distortions in reality occur in many sectors of society. When such distortions are institutionally enforced, systematic inequalities develop. As a result, we all suffer, even simply, from the knock-on effect of being denied proper information about what’s real and what’s possible in human experience.

I once saw a multi-millionaire do a demonstration that changed my life.
The man held two deflated balloons, one substantially larger than the other. He explained that in this demonstration “air” represented money and each balloon represented a different person. He then proceeded to blow up (put money into) the smaller balloon (person). He maxed it out at about 6 inches.
He then blew air, (money) into the larger balloon (person) and maxed it out at about 12 inches. He then asked, “What’s the difference between these two “people”? The obvious answer was that “the bigger balloon (person) can hold a lot more air (money) than the smaller balloon (person) without busting.
This demonstration hit me right between the eyes. I had just “blown up” my fourth business in a row and was in the midst of looking for a new “right” opportunity. Once again, I was searching outside myself for the answer. I had never even considered that maybe “I” was part of the problem.
The lesson was clear: “your wealth can only grow to the extent you do!”
If you keep putting more ‘money’ into a small ‘person’, they will quickly go bust! I got it and then could barely look at myself in the mirror for a week!

Just say ‘yes’ to commitments and priorities.
Once you can clearly determine the one or two things that you should be doing, just say no to all diversions and distractions and say yes to single-mindedly accomplishing those priorities.

1. Make peace with your money – It’s time to create a more positive association with money. Begin by making your own list of 20 things you can do to make bill paying, balancing accounts, or working on your investments more enjoyable. For example, you might keep a gratitude list in your checkbook to remind you of what you do have when paying bills, or have one small piece of really good chocolate ready as your reward when you finish.
2. Pull your head from the sand – Facing the truth about the current state of your financial health is the most important step in reclaiming your power. Take out a pad of paper and answer the following questions: How much are you worth? This includes annual income, money in savings (including retirement plans), and the value of assets like a home or car. How much do you owe? This includes charge-card balances, car loans, mortgages, and lines of credit. How much does it cost you to live? This amount includes your monthly expenses like rent or mortgage, utilities, insurance, gym memberships, as well as daily spending habits on everything from the morning newspaper to lunch during work.
3. Plan for the future – Find a good financial planner and bring your financial assessment to your first meeting. Ask family and friends for referrals, or find certified financial planners at cfp.net/search.
