The most successful people in life are those who, when confronted with a problem, question WHY they should spend their time and effort solving the problem at all…”Breakthrough Thinking” Gerald Nadler, Ph.D.
If you were to take full responsibility for your thoughts, what might your new life look like?

Become a highly disciplined time manager.
There are 86,400 seconds in each day. It takes less than one of those to make a decision. Each decision that we make can take our lives in a wholly different direction. When your life is “full of things to do” we barely notice these “little” decisions. Start noticing! Plan your days so that you are more focused in the now and can see purpose in the things that you do each moment.
Words are powerful. Words mean things. Just seeing a certain word can be a motivating experience. That is the idea behind, “Five Minute Motivators.” Power words on a card that you can take anywhere, put anywhere, motivate anywhere. You print these power words double sided on standard Avery business cards. Break them apart and clip them together. Slip them in your pocket or purse.
When you get to work place a power word on your monitor to motivate you through the day. Put one on the top row of your keyboard to remind you of something important. Put one on the refrigerator door to help you stay on your diet. Simple, yet effective, power words can help you reach your goal or create that new habit… fast.
Most of us think about making change happen in terms of “what I need to do.” We believe that by making a to-do list or setting a goal and then putting in our best effort we can really change things. I do believe these steps are often useful. Yet I don’t think *pushing* so hard for change is always the best answer. Instead, I’d say we should be working more to not work so hard at all.
I’m kidding, right? Doesn’t this fly in the face of typical ideas about work ethic and achievement to success models?
Maybe it does. But an important question to ask here is, “What kind of success do I want to achieve?” If you’re trying to change your life, you’re likely unhappy about something you want to eliminate or something you don’t already have. In order to get (or get rid of) that element, you’re going to need to be in a place where it makes sense for that thing to happen. That means you’re going to need to change who you are at the very core.
