Coaching Tip #406

September 29th, 2007 No comments

Decide to feel good for no good reason.

This is great personal training. Practise going against the grain with regards how you feel. Do something that you don’t feel like doing and do it just because you said you’d do it. Train your subconscious to know that you’re boss and that you say what goes. Rather than being at the effect of external circumstances, happenings or commentary by others.

Do It On Purpose

September 29th, 2007 No comments

Yogi Berra is visiting our town this week. I’m glad Yogi is still going. Not only is he in baseball’s hall of fame, he’s the poster boy for the quotation hall of fame. Among Yogi’s most memorable comments — “We are lost, but we’re making good time.”
There are days when I get moving so fast I forget where I am going. That can happen to groups of people, organizations and companies too. As human beings, we naturally create systems to accomplish objectives. Before we know it, maintaining the system can become more important than the outcome it was intended to provide. As Yogi says, “We’re lost, but we’re making goodtime.”
Keeping a genuine purpose in mind is challenging. Most of us spend very little, if any, time contemplating purpose. Even the most important purpose can be misplaced in the incidentals of daily doings. Doing things on time can take priority over doing things on purpose. The “why fors” and “whofors” get lost in the “whens” and “where fors”.
The other side is we become so focused on purpose and outcome that we forget to enjoy the process that takes us there. We run with blinders on. We forget what Yogi said, “You can see a lot just by observing.”
Real joy comes from the knowledge that there is a connection between what we are doing and a worthwhile purpose. When the things we do make sense, it draws our purpose to us and us to our purpose. When we are doing “on purpose,” we can enjoy the journey to the destination. Otherwise, “If you don’t know where you’re going,” says Yogi, “you’ll wind up somewhere else.”
Enjoy the Journey…Do it on Purpose!

Coaching Tip #405

September 24th, 2007 No comments

Miracles are not accidents.

“My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.” ~Oprah Winfrey~
You put something in motion by saying certain words, thinking certain thoughts and/or taking certain actions. That in turn gets wheels turning and cogs rolling, towards what is showing up in your life today. It is all sourced in something that you started weeks, months or even years ago. The butterfly effect.

What To Do With Your 404 error pages

September 24th, 2007 No comments

Today I’ve been going through any expired web site links of mine i.e. 404 error landing pages, and replacing them with the message that’s at this sample page:
http://www.forwardsteps.com.au/404-ErrorPageTemplate.htm

I noticed in my CPanel that I had collected a few visitors to 404 error pages and didn’t want them slipping through the “net”.

I thought that I’d share it in this group in case it’s something that some of you might want to be doing, or hadn’t even considered.

For example, one of my expired pages had 513 visitors during September alone. That’s a lot of ‘escapees’! (Smile)

With certain pages, I will even suggest the page that they might have missed by clicking on the expired link e.g. http://www.forwardsteps.com.au/TUOP.htm

If you want to easily see all of the web pages that you personally created then simply place the words site: in front of your domain e.g. site:www.forwardsteps.com.au and put that into a Google search.
It is excellent for when you’re doing jobs like this.

Oh yes, and one more little thing about all the above. Include the meta name “robots” to be no index and no follow, see this information link. You don’t want to be penalized in your Google rankings for duplicate sites/content.

Those of you who haven’t a clue what I’m writing about. No panic. It’s all a nice little extra and not at all urgent. Those who get it, can certainly see value in this task when creating and demolishing links all over the shop! (Smile)

Meantime, you may also love this resource by Mike Filsaime about 404 error pages.

This Seems Fair Dinkum!

September 22nd, 2007 No comments

This looks really interesting and quite ‘fair dinkum‘ too.
Dr Jon Cohen’s guide Get Google Ads Free, is currently the top seller on Clickbank and is seeing the type of success that few products get to enjoy.

This is an incredible system developed by Dr Jon Cohen, MD (retired) who found a little-known “twist” in how to use the pay-per-click (PPC) and paid-for targeted advertising programs at Google™ and the other search engines.

I’ve personally not yet bought the book, however I believe I will. I’ve been reading this 4-page interview with Dr Jon Cohen that entices me even more to go ahead and give this a trial.

Self Realization and Wealth Creation

September 20th, 2007 No comments

Alright, so you’re probably burning on the inside wondering what the “How” of Creating Wealth is.
Believe it or not folks, it is incredibly simple, and strangely, both achievements are accomplished via the same means as truly all things are, THERE IS JUST A FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE IN THE DIRECTION YOU POINT YOUR ENERGY.

The answer is:
Focus.
Concentrate your energies.
Refuse to give up.

The method of attaining Self Realization entails directing your energy INWARD, and attaining wealth (just like attaining anything else in “the world”) is achieved by focusing your energy OUTWARD.
You will eventually attain your goal, because concentration is the first natural law of manifestation.

The Masters of The Secret with Bill Harris

September 19th, 2007 No comments

This FREE online course, called The Masters of The Secret with Bill Harris, reveals the most powerful concepts and practical information about how to implement The Secret in your life — and how to get all the benefits, right now.

Jack Canfield, Lisa Nichols, Michael Beckwith, James Ray, Hale Dwoskin, John Assaraf, and Joe Vitale will be joining Bill Harris, to introduce you to the transformational power of The Secret.

These same people — who you’ve seen in the movie as well as on Oprah!, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Larry King Live, and The Montel Williams Show — will be your teachers.

Learn The Law of Attraction Directly from the Stars of The Secret

The Masters of The Secret with Bill Harris regularly goes for $79.95, but because Bill believes so strongly in getting more people to master The Law of Attraction, he is willing to pass this information on to as many people as I can absolutely FREE! But only for a limited time.

As you’ll soon discover, this course is unlike anything else you’ve ever experienced.

You’ll enjoy eight weekly lessons, each featuring an unedited, spontaneous conversation between Bill and one of my Secret co-stars as we show you exactly how to apply The Law of Attraction to your life.

You’re about to discover the amazing power of The Law of Attraction and how it impacts your personal growth, spirituality, prosperity and success. Throughout these eight easy-to-understand, easy-to-implement lessons, you’ll learn how to…

* Master The Law of Attraction & apply it to your life right now…
* Focus your mind with laser-beam intensity so you can achieve any goal…
* Turn any adversity into an even greater success…
* Find out who you are & answer the age-old question “what’s it all about?”
* Understand what self-sabotage is & how to stop it instantly…
* Tap the hidden reservoir of positive energy that surrounds us all…

Due to the considerable expense involved, they can only make this FREE course available to a limited number of people. Once that limit is reached—and quite frankly, I don’t know exactly what it is — enrollment will be closed.

Self-Discipline versus Inner Guidance

September 19th, 2007 No comments

I believe we always “know.” The trick is to be able to identify when you are not honoring yourself soon enough to take action in the present moment. The more you can do this, the less it will happen in your future.
The best way to break this habit, is to deliberately schedule time to be good to yourself. Schedule a massage, or to play a round of golf. Treat it as an appointment you have with someone else and keep your commitment.
Then, the next time you start to excuse yourself out of going to the gym, you’ll recognize exactly what it is you’re doing – dishonoring yourself. Once you recognize it, you’ll think, “Ah, this is what Debra was talking about. Okay, I am going to honor myself by going to the gym, I am going to keep my commitment. Even though, in this very moment, I really don’t feel like it, I know I’ll appreciate having followed-through later.”
Eventually, you will have formed the habit of going to the gym just like you go to work, and your self-discipline will carry over into other areas as well. Taking these actions will significantly increase your self esteem.

Coaching Tip #404

September 19th, 2007 No comments

Notice what you learn.

Have you ever said to yourself, “I wish I knew then what I know now”? What are some of those things that you know now, and wished you had known then? Can you get in touch with those lessons and make full use of them today? Will a piece of your past knowledge make a difference to some of the decisions that you will make for yourself today? Or do you ignore the lessons?

What Have You Learned?

September 19th, 2007 No comments

It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it…John Steinbeck

If you could pass on to others one thing you’ve learned in life, what would it be?

The I’ve Learned Movie was created by asking thousands of people, “If they could pass one thing they’ve learned in life to others, what would it be?”
