If you are reading this blog, it can be assumed that you are interested in personal development in some way…either for yourself as a pursuit, or perhaps as an exploration of the concepts. Follow Your Path is always about defining and creating the life of your dreams, which is, of course, a unique journey for each of us. Sadly, most people do not even embark on such a journey! But that surely does not describe you.
While we are all aware of the concept of ‘thoughts create reality’, or ‘law of attraction’ in all the shapes and forms this takes these days, we do not often hear about how we can tell if we are doing – or thinking – the ‘right’ things.
Of course, there is no right and wrong in this Universe, however there are sure signs along the way which can guide you. By these signs you can correct wayward thought patterns and adjust course as you see fit. Assuming you have already defined your chosen path, these signs can act as guideposts to keep you on it. The path may curve or get jagged, but in this way you can always be sure you are following YOUR path, and creating it anew as needed, versus allowing it to be a reactionary path as most do.

Do something for someone else.
Are you feeling a bit flat, down or low on energy? Do something for someone else. Surprise someone with a pleasant surprise. It need not cost money. It may be a bunch of flowers from your garden for a neighbor. It could be writing a simple letter or postcard to someone you’ve not been in touch with for a while. Be courteous when driving, or stop and give a pedestrian right of way. Listen rather than talk when meeting with a friend.
Have you ever looked at super creative or innovative people, and felt they are special beings blessed with gifts? Have you felt that you are not as fortunate? I used to feel this way. I have since learned that creativity is more about psychology than intellect, and there are no secrets to being creative. Actually, there is no such thing as “being more creative”, you are already a creative being.
I’m sure we can all relate to moments when we felt stuck trying to tap into our own creativity. Did you know that this block is merely your mind at work? Your mind is creating all sorts of assumptions, self-imposed constraints and self-limiting inhibitions. I have found that we can remove these assumptions just by being in the moment; start doing, and stop thinking.

…if we are to follow our dreams and manifest them into the physical world, there’s only one expert we can possibly listen to – and that’s our own inner guidance. And it’s very easy to follow – something feels good, (exciting, exhilarating, attractive, sexy, appealing, joyful, fun …. all mean “good”), or it feels bad, (wrong, irrelevant, guilty, embarrassing, sombre, hard work, joyless, unkind, cheaty …).
A key to making the Law Of Attraction work in your life is to totally, one hundred percent, believe in yourself and what you are doing.
You’ll discover that your nature is good. Your instinct is to give and create to improve the world in ways large or small. Your ability to “sell” will simply become your natural ability to “tell with passion” because you’ll have love for what you’re doing.
You’ll also find opportunities opening up, because when you do what you love, it’s infectious, and people will love what you’re doing – and you for doing it!
